I was charged $3000 for items I…

I was charged $3000 for items I returned. I was told via text that this charge would come "if the items were not returned by 8/31" they were returned on 8/29 and I was STILL CHARGED. I have been in contact with them about this multiple times and they keep offering me different amounts of a credit to buy more from them 🤯. This company is unethical at best. And the majority of the items I was paying monthly for, did not even fit. I am now having to follow up with legal action since they have refused to refund my cc and I am now getting charged interest.

Terrible Company

Dont bother applying for a job with this company. They are terribly mismanaged. They've hired many employees in the past month only to notify them today (9/12/22) that they are being laid off.

I was charged $3000 for items I returned on time

I was recently charged $3000 for items I returned PRIOR to the date they told me I would be charged. I have proof of return, they are in possession of all items, and they still neglected to refund me. This customer service is basically nonexistent and it's taking me to involve my lawyer at this point since I am beginning to accrue interest on my cc bc of their unethical charge on my account.

Great concept poorly carried out

While this is an amazing idea, ordering weeks or even a month ahead doesn't guarantee you an outfit. There was a dress I originally saw that wasn't available and then I found a dress I absolutely fell in love with. A month before the wedding, i reserved and paid for it. I got a text days before the wedding saying that it's unavailable and that I should hurry and pick something else. No thanks. It's just far too complicated to get anything from this company. Unreliable.

Terrible Customer Service

After being a customer for many years, I requested a refund for a late charge which I felt was unjustified and caused by confusion with a chat agent. I explained my loyalty and asked for a courtesy refund. They refused to honor my request even though I have been a loyal customer for years. I am cancelling my membership and will be trying a competitor.

Hardline policies made me cancel permanently

It is all great as long as you are actively paying attention to your renewal dates. I had an emergency over a weekend and didn't hit "pause" in time to extend it. Unfortunately I was going to be out of the country for a month and unable to use the newly activated swaps. I asked if I could have an extension to use them when I returned from my trip, rather than lose them. That was a hardline no from customer service. So, I've decided to not support a company that provides zero flexibility or understanding for their members.

BEWARE

Due to quality problems with the last three dresses I received, I went to the website and cancelled my subscription. Rent the Runway continued to bill me anyway and was able to take over $400 from me because I could not prove I clicked the cancel button on their website. If you cancel due to quality problems like I did, be VERY careful to check that their website actually works when you cancel.

I am a school teacher and like most public servants cannot afford to be taken advantage of.

I cancelled my membership on RTR…

I cancelled my membership on RTR website after receiving three dresses of poor quality. Rent the Runway continued to bill me anyway. I am out $400 because there is no way to prove I clicked on cancel membership on their website. Beware when you cancel to go back and make sure the website worked!

Worst service in the history

For my very first order, they shipped to a wrong address twice, 2 dresses out of 4 were damaged, they never come to pick up return, change the date of pick up without notification, the supervisor insists it's not their fault because they outsource shipping service, you never receive dresses and they never refund you. HORRIBLE. The worst company in the history.

What happened to RTR?

I was a customer for almost 10 years, and had nothing but great experiences. Then Covid hit and I took a couple year break, only to be smacked by a massive decline in quality control and customer service when I recently signed up for their monthly membership. I received my shipment only to send it back one day later — the clothes reeked of cigarette smoke and perfume (or maybe febreze?), and one had a used face mask in the pocket. Nice! The items went straight to the garage so they wouldn't stink up our home. When I contacted customer service, they kept repeating to me that "every item is dry cleaned and carefully inspected…", and asked for a photo of the clothes (but what would that have done to show the smell?). I'm sure the person I spoke with was just doing their job and following the script, but ultimately they took no responsibility for the issue so I canceled my membership. $104 down the drain. It's the last time I use this company, which is a bummer because I have so many fun memories from these clothes! I used them for endless formals, bachelorette parties, weddings, etc. Can RTR even survive like this when customers have so many other options?

I signed up for unlimited membership on a Saturday made my selections - the website showed it'll be delivered by Tuesday 8 PM - didn't get here for almost a week! What's the point of getting unlimited when they purposely hold items and don't notify the customers when the items are not up to par or available the when you're told it will be. Membership is not worth it - I called customer service - on Wednesday to ensure my dresses got here Thursday - she assured me they will get there --- NOPE! LIES! I had to return the dresses same day it was delivered because they came too late!
